Jubilee

I'm loving the Jubilee Weekend. Loving it! We've watched the Flotilla and the Concert. We've listened to the Jubilee Song lots. We've strung bunting and we've bought a few Jubilee bits and pieces like the Emma Bridgewater Tin. I've loved all the fabulously patriotic window displays in the City. I like the Union Jacks that are everywhere. Most of all I'm loving the four day weekend.

Last night, we headed to our friends house for a BBQ and fortunately the weather was kind. A little chilly but dry with a Blue Sky and fluffy Clouds. The Fire kept us warm as did lots and lots of blankets. We sat at the end of their very very long garden and just enjoyed each others company and ate very good food.

We took two deserts, a Mixed Berry and a Peach Melba Flan. I love Berries. They are so wonderfully delicious. I especially can't get enough of Blackberries and I'm so looking forward to foraging for them later this year.

We also took some rather amusing Royal Family face masks. These caused a lot of hilarity especially when my Sister cranked out the Just Dance app on her phone. I particularly like Prince Charles the Hoody!

We then finished up the night in the Summer House watching a film outdoors with even more Blankets and Hot cups of Tea. It really was just perfect. So, thanks to the Queen for the long weekend and long may she reign over us.

Hah\! Was just thinking the same re Prince William! Those masks are great, aren't they? I see them all over the place and they are so convincing form a distance anyway. Sounds like you had a brilliant time, Claire, ours was slightly more low key but I surprised myself by getting into the whole thing.

Claire what a hoot those masks are!
Prince Charles in the hoody looks hilarious. I wonder if he has ever worn one? The Queen looks great too.....

Sounds like you've had a great weekend, love the tins.

Have seen some of the celebrations on TV and it's great to see so many people get involved. I think she's an amazing lady and we can all learn something from her.
Wish I could've been there to get caught up in all the fun....
