Be still my heart

After years of wanting, looking, debating, we have finally found the one. It will be a couple of weeks until she arrives, but she is coming and I can't wait! Seriously second hand furniture shopping is the very best, especially when it supports a massively worthy Charity, The Benjamin Foundation.

It looks beautiful!
Are you keeping in all it's naked wooden glory, or will you be painting it?
Fabulous feeling when you find just the right thing and great that a charity gets to profit too.

So pleased for you, Claire! I remember feeling exactly the same when we bought our first little dresser about 36 years ago! It was all we could afford then, and we have an older, larger (and pricier!) one in situ in the cottage now, the other has gone to our son. You will love it and polish it and gaze at it and dress it. Enjoy!!

It's a gorgeous dresser, will you paint it or just oil the wood?

oh what a lovely dresser! A great find!

Thanks for your comment. No, I never get tired of where I live, though I don't actually live there now that's where I was raised and where I work at the moment. I think it will feature a lot over the next few months as it hit me this week that I'll no longer be working there from September and I'm gutted! I wrote a post about it on my teacher training blog.

I hope you'll show us more of the dresser when you have her at home, looking lovely.
